‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ townhouse on sale for $5.85 million

The Manhattan townhouse that played Holly Golightly’s apartment building in Breakfast at Tiffany’s and that has movie buffs gawking from the sidewalk is up for sale, RadarOnline.com reports.
Asking price for the property at 169 E. 71st St. in a tony neighborhood, whose exteriors were used in the classic Audrey Hepburn movie, is $5.85 million, Radar and realty sites say.
Guess who’s selling? Peter Bacanovic, who was Martha Stewart’s stockbroker when she was caught up in a 2001 insider trading scandal that got her imprisoned.
He is moving to the west coast, Radar says.
Film buffs might be interested to know that interiors are not the same as what is seen in the movie. They were shot on a sound stage.
